IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary commands due to the inclusion of functionality from an untrusted control sphere.
CVE-2026-18066 2 Ibm, Redhat 3 Financial Transaction Manager, Financial Transaction Manager Ftmfor Redhat Openshift, Openshift 2026-10-08 7.9 High
IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) for RedHat OpenShift could allow a local attacker to obtain sensitive information and trigger unauthorized actions due to server-side request forgery.
CVE-2024-2700 1 Redhat 11 Amq Streams, Apache Camel Hawtio, Apicurio Registry and 8 more 2026-10-08 7 High
A vulnerability was found in the quarkus-core component. Quarkus captures local environment variables from the Quarkus namespace during the application's build, therefore, running the resulting application inherits the values captured at build time. Some local environment variables may have been set by the developer or CI environment for testing purposes, such as dropping the database during application startup or trusting all TLS certificates to accept self-signed certificates. If these properties are configured using environment variables or the .env facility, they are captured into the built application, which can lead to dangerous behavior if the application does not override these values. This behavior only happens for configuration properties from the `quarkus.*` namespace. Application-specific properties are not captured.
CVE-2025-26466 4 Canonical, Debian, Openbsd and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Openssh and 2 more 2026-10-08 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
CVE-2026-15816 1 Redhat 12 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Hardened Images and 9 more 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A flaw was found in dracut. The die() error-handling function writes its message into a shell script under the initramfs emergency-hook directory without properly shell-quoting it. When the message contains data derived from the DHCP ROOT_PATH option, an attacker on the adjacent network who controls a rogue DHCP server can inject a command-substitution sequence that executes as root the next time dracut sources its emergency hook scripts during standard boot-failure handling.
CVE-2026-6893 1 Redhat 13 Dracut, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 10 more 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A flaw was found in dracut. A remote attacker on the adjacent network can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) options, such as a malicious hostname, to a system using dracut's legacy DHCP path. These options are improperly handled and written into temporary shell scripts without proper escaping, leading to command injection. This allows the attacker to achieve root code execution within the initramfs, potentially compromising the system's boot and network behavior.
CVE-2024-7885 1 Redhat 21 Apache Camel Hawtio, Apache Camel Spring Boot, Build Keycloak and 18 more 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A vulnerability was found in Undertow where the ProxyProtocolReadListener reuses the same StringBuilder instance across multiple requests. This issue occurs when the parseProxyProtocolV1 method processes multiple requests on the same HTTP connection. As a result, different requests may share the same StringBuilder instance, potentially leading to information leakage between requests or responses. In some cases, a value from a previous request or response may be erroneously reused, which could lead to unintended data exposure. This issue primarily results in errors and connection termination but creates a risk of data leakage in multi-request environments.
CVE-2026-85234 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A flaw was found in tftp-hpa. When the `in.tftpd` remap engine processes an inverse remap rule that also aborts with a non-empty custom error message, it can pass invalid match offsets to the `genmatchstring()` function. This leads to out-of-bounds read/write operations. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request, causing the daemon to crash and resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2026-17615 1 Redhat 18 Apicurio Registry, Build Keycloak, Build Of Apache Camel For Quarkus and 15 more 2026-10-08 7.5 High
A flaw was found in RESTEasy's SourceProvider. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to perform an unauthenticated remote file read. By sending a specially crafted XML body with a DOCTYPE declaration referencing external entities to an endpoint that accepts application/xml and returns Source or StreamSource, the server can be tricked into resolving the entity and including sensitive file contents in the HTTP response. This is due to the SourceProvider.writeTo() method creating a SAXParser without disabling external entity resolution, leading to an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability.
CVE-2026-107466 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-08 6.1 Medium
A flaw was found in flatpak-builder. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause information disclosure by convincing a user or continuous integration (CI) system to process a crafted build manifest. By specifying local file Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) within source download definitions, the builder bypasses directory confinement checks. As a result, sensitive host files accessible to the build process can be read and incorporated into the build artifacts.
CVE-2026-106063 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-08 6.3 Medium
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DICOM export plug-in. When exporting an image with extremely large width and height, the export path allocates a buffer using a 32-bit width * height (and bytes-per-pixel) product that can overflow. GEGL then writes the full uncompressed extent into the undersized buffer, after integer overflow in the allocation size
CVE-2026-106061 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-08 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader. When GIMP generates a thumbnail for a crafted XMC file, it allocates a pixel buffer using a width * height size computed in 32-bit signed arithmetic. If that product overflows, the allocation is smaller than the true image extent. A subsequent GEGL buffer read uses the unwrapped dimensions and performs an out-of-bounds read on the heap, after integer overflow in the size calculation. This can crash GIMP or corrupt process memory.
CVE-2026-106062 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-08 7.8 High
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DirectDraw Surface (DDS) loader. When loading a crafted DDS image, buffer sizes derived from width, height, and pitch can be computed using 32-bit arithmetic that overflows. The allocated buffer is too small for the amount of pixel data written through GEGL, following integer overflow in size calculations. This may allow heap corruption and, in the worst case, arbitrary code execution in the context of the GIMP process.
CVE-2026-107444 1 Redhat 2 Hummingbird, Satellite 2026-10-08 4.3 Medium
A flaw was found in Katello where the Docker Tags repositories API does not properly enforce organization scoping when listing repositories for a Docker meta tag. An authenticated user with permission to view products in one organization may be able to retrieve repository metadata associated with Docker tags belonging to another organization by supplying the tag identifier. This can result in unauthorized disclosure of repository configuration information across organization boundaries.
CVE-2026-107445 1 Redhat 2 Hummingbird, Satellite 2026-10-08 5.4 Medium
A flaw was found in Katello where the Flatpak Remote Repositories API does not properly enforce authorization when accessing a flatpak remote repository by identifier. An authenticated user with permission to view flatpak remotes in one organization may be able to access flatpak remote repository information belonging to another organization. The same unscoped lookup is used by the mirror action, which may allow creating a repository in a product the user can edit that is configured with another organization's flatpak remote URL and stored remote credentials.
CVE-2026-105447 1 Redhat 1 Quay 2026-10-08 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in Quay. When handling build trigger requests, the application incorrectly exposes trigger configuration details containing repository write tokens to global read-only administrative users. An authenticated user with read-only privileges can exploit this flaw by querying the build trigger API to retrieve these delegate tokens. This issue allows a restricted user to bypass read-only limitations and push arbitrary container images to private repositories, leading to privilege escalation.
CVE-2026-104044 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-08 6.2 Medium
A flaw was found in sssd. A local attacker can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a specially crafted Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) request when passkey authentication is enabled. Due to a missing state validation check in passkey Kerberos handling, the PAM responder dereferences an uninitialized pointer and crashes. This failure disrupts authentication services on the host.
CVE-2026-104039 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-08 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can cause a denial of service (DoS) by disrupting system authentication services. When handling Generic Security Services Application Programming Interface (GSSAPI) authentication in the Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) responder, cached connection state is freed upon completion without clearing the reference pointer. An attacker can exploit this by sending an additional request over the same connection, causing the service to access invalid memory and unexpectedly terminate.
CVE-2026-104035 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-08 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. An issue in the Kerberos Credential Manager (KCM) responder allows a local user to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by maintaining a persistent connection and repeatedly storing and destroying credentials. Because the service fails to release cached objects from memory when credentials are removed, memory consumption grows continuously, ultimately exhausting available memory and rendering the service unresponsive.
CVE-2026-84783 2 Openssl, Redhat 2 Openssl, Hummingbird 2026-10-08 7.5 High
Issue summary: The first concurrent use of the same X.509 certificate by several threads may cause its cached extension data to be freed while another thread is still using it. Impact summary: A remote, unauthenticated peer could crash a multi-threaded TLS client, or a multi-threaded TLS server that requests client certificates, if the first certificate chains built to the same trusted CA certificate are built by several connections at the same time. This is a use-after-free read, which is likely to crash the process, resulting in a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-416: Use After Free Description: OpenSSL caches the decoded values of a certificate's X.509v3 extensions inside the X509 object the first time they are needed. In OpenSSL 4.0 this cache is built in two phases: the extension values are computed while holding a read lock on the certificate, and the results are then installed into the certificate under a write lock. Because a read lock does not exclude other readers, several threads can compute the cache for the same certificate at the same time. Each thread that subsequently acquires the write lock installs its own results and frees the values installed by the thread before it, even though that earlier thread has already marked the cache as complete and may have returned pointers into it to its caller. A caller still using those pointers then reads freed memory. Any certificate shared between threads is exposed the first time its extensions are decoded. In TLS the certificates at risk are the trusted CA certificates supplied for chain verification, by whatever means, since these are shared by every connection and their extensions are decoded and cached the first time a chain is built to them. Certificates sent by the peer are decoded separately for each connection and are not shared, so they are not affected. In a TLS client verifying server certificates, or a TLS server that requests and verifies client certificates, the use-after-free could only occur if the first chains built to the same trusted CA are built by several connections at the same time. FIPS impact: no The FIPS module is not affected as X.509 certificate handling is outside of the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. OpenSSL 4.0 is vulnerable to this issue. OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.0, 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are not affected by this issue. OpenSSL 4.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 4.0.3. This issue was reported on 27 August 2026 by Tim Becker (Xint.io) and independently in a public report on 31 August 2026 by aydinmercan. The fix has been developed by Bob Beck. -- cut (non-publishing metadata for internal use) -- Reported by: Tim Becker (Xint.io), aydinmercan Fixed by: Bob Beck
