| Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.82.0 until 2.118.1, HTMLBackendOptions(render_page=True) permits file URLs because HTMLDocumentBackend._get_browser_request_block_reason does not enforce the enable_local_fetch setting or confine local requests to the source document directory. Crafted path-backed HTML can embed a readable local text file in a browser-rendered page image when Playwright is installed. Only filesystem Path inputs are affected because stream inputs use an opaque origin, and the default configuration, command-line interface, docling-serve, and non-rendering backends are not affected. This issue is fixed in 2.118.1. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.8.1 to 2.11.0, ANCHORARRAY recursively calls the exported CalcCellValue function, creating a fresh calculation context at each cycle and bypassing in-flight and iteration controls. ANCHORARRAY calls CalcCellValue instead of cellResolver, so each recursive hop receives a new calcContext and loses cycle state. When mutually referencing dynamic-array formulas are evaluated directly or through formula-evaluating APIs, each recursion hop resets the cycle budget and prevents completion-based caches from breaking the cycle, allowing an attacker to cause a fatal Go stack overflow and abort the process. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.3.1 to 2.11.0, extractPart allocates a byte slice directly from an attacker-controlled CFB directory-entry size before validating the sector chain or size domain. extractPart trusts the CFB directory entry streamSize for EncryptionInfo and EncryptedPackage allocations before validating the stream. When a crafted OLE compound file declares a negative or extremely large EncryptionInfo or EncryptedPackage stream size, the declared size reaches make with a negative length or forces a multi-gigabyte allocation, allowing an attacker to panic or exhaust process memory. No fixed version is available as of this review. |

| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.3.1 to 2.11.0, the decryption dispatch performs insufficient structural and parameter validation before standard and agile decryptors slice, index, allocate, and divide using attacker-controlled values. Decrypt passes attacker-controlled EncryptionInfo and EncryptedPackage data into standardDecrypt or agileDecrypt before validating the structures used by those routines. When a malformed OLE compound file with a version-valid EncryptionInfo stream is opened or passed to Decrypt, nine malformed-input classes reach unrecovered Go runtime panics instead of the documented error path, allowing an attacker to terminate the calling process. No fixed version is available as of this review. |

From 2.9.0 to 2.11.0, GetSlicers checks for ExtLst but dereferences ws.Drawing without checking whether the independently optional drawing element exists. File.GetSlicers reads ws.Drawing.RID after seeing a worksheet extLst element even when the independently optional worksheet drawing element is absent. When a crafted worksheet contains an extLst element without a drawing element and the application calls GetSlicers, the nil ws.Drawing pointer is dereferenced while resolving the drawing relationship, allowing an attacker to panic and terminate an unprotected process.
