CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
virtio_balloon: quiesce balloon work before device shutdown
Commit 8bd2fa086a04 ("virtio: break and reset virtio devices on
device_shutdown()") added a generic virtio bus .shutdown handler that
breaks and resets every virtio device during device_shutdown(), i.e. on
reboot and kexec.
virtio_balloon provides no .shutdown of its own, so that generic path
runs while the balloon's asynchronous work is still armed. Once the
device has been broken, virtqueue_add_inbuf() in
virtballoon_free_page_report() returns -EIO and trips its
WARN_ON_ONCE(). On a kernel booted with panic_on_warn that turns an
ordinary reboot, for example a kexec based upgrade, into a fatal panic
in the middle of device_shutdown(), so the machine never reaches the
new kernel.
Relaxing that single WARN_ON_ONCE() would only hide the symptom: the
inflate/deflate and OOM paths do not warn, they call
wait_event(vb->acked, ...) and would instead block forever on a broken
queue that can no longer complete. The device has to be quiesced, not
just kept quiet.
Add a .shutdown handler that quiesces the balloon via the shared
virtballoon_quiesce() helper while the device is still alive, and only
then breaks and resets it via virtio_device_shutdown(). Unlike
virtballoon_remove() the balloon workqueue is not destroyed, as shutdown
does not free the device and cancel_work_sync() together with stop_update
already prevent any further work from being queued. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock: don't check the listener's sk_err in vsock_accept()
Syzbot reported an issue which can be reproduced with these steps:
r0 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
bind(r0, {VMADDR_CID_ANY, PORT})
connect(r0, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> -1, EPROTO (self-connect)
listen(r0, backlog) -> 0
r1 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
connect(r1, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> 0
accept(r0) -> -1, EPROTO (stale sk_err)
Basically, it creates a socket (r0) and triggers a self-connect after
binding it. This self-connect fails with EPROTO because it loops back
to r0 while the socket is still in the TCP_SYN_SENT state, causing it
to be incorrectly dispatched to the connecting-client path. The
unexpected packet type encountered there sets sk_err to EPROTO.
After that, it invokes a listen() call on the same socket. This
listen() call succeeds because the kernel's listening path never
inspects or clears sk_err. Then, a new socket (r1) is created as a
normal client and connects to r0. However, vsock_accept() rejects this
incoming connection because the listener's sk_err still holds the
EPROTO error from the earlier failed self-connect.
This rejection causes the child socket created for r1's connection to
never be freed on virtio or hyperv transports; only the VMCI transport
implements pending_work to revisit and clean up a rejected socket.
For a non-blocking connect(), vsock_connect() may return -EINPROGRESS
immediately, and vsock_connect_timeout() can later set sk->sk_err
asynchronously.
Since no vsock transport ever sets sk_err on a socket while it is in
TCP_LISTEN state, checking it in vsock_accept() serves no purpose and
only carries forward errors left behind by earlier, unrelated
connection attempts on the same socket. Remove the checks so accept()
no longer rejects valid incoming connections because of a stale
error, which also avoids the resource leak described above. |
| On affected platforms running Arista EOS with Open Shortest Path First version 3 (OSPFv3) configured, an unauthenticated attacker on the same OSPFv3 broadcast domain can send a specially crafted set of packets that can cause the Ospf3 agent to restart unexpectedly. The crash results in the loss of all OSPFv3 adjacencies on the affected device and may disrupt routing across the broader OSPF domain until the agent recovers.
This issue was reported externally by Dravanet Inc., and Arista is not aware of any malicious exploitation of this vulnerability in customer networks. |
| A vulnerability in a specific file download API of Cisco Secure FMC Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to download arbitrary files from an affected system.
This vulnerability exists because user input is not being sanitized. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTPS request. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to download arbitrary files from the affected system.
To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid credentials for a user account with at least the role of Security Analyst (read-only). |
| Tina is a headless content management system. Prior to @tinacms/auth 1.1.4 and next-tinacms-azure 15.0.1, isAuthorized accepts a request-controlled clientID and asks isUserAuthorized to validate the bearer token against that selected TinaCloud app instead of the self-hosted site's configured app. An attacker with any TinaCloud account can submit the attacker's own app ID and valid token to a victim endpoint, causing TinaCloudBackendAuthProvider or an affected media authorized callback to accept the attacker's verified status across the tenant boundary. The vulnerable logic is present in packages/@tinacms/auth/src/index.ts and packages/next-tinacms-azure/src/auth.ts. Successful exploitation permits media listing, reading, upload, or deletion and, when TinaCloudBackendAuthProvider is used, GraphQL read, create, update, and delete operations on the victim's content without a victim account or victim interaction. This vulnerability is fixed in @tinacms/auth 1.1.4 and next-tinacms-azure 15.0.1. |
| Faust.js is a headless WordPress toolkit. Prior to 1.8.11, the FaustWP WordPress plugin authenticates only the ciphertext in its token envelope and excludes the 16-byte initialization vector from the HMAC in WPE\FaustWP\Auth\encrypt() and WPE\FaustWP\Auth\decrypt() in plugins/faustwp/includes/auth/functions.php. A logged-in non-administrator who obtains an authorization code from GET /generate can modify the unauthenticated initialization vector so that CBC decryption changes the token type and user identifier while the HMAC remains valid. This can produce an access token for an Administrator and permit full WordPress REST API access, administrator-account creation, plugin installation, and arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in repository version 1.8.11. |
| vm2 versions >= 3.9.6 and <= 3.11.6 are affected by a NodeVM builtin allowlist bypass that permits a sandbox escape on Node.js 24 and newer when the embedder explicitly allows the node:test builtin (e.g. require: { builtin: ['node:test'] }). On Node.js 24+, module.builtinModules exposes the scheme-only key node:test, which is not covered by vm2's family-based DANGEROUS_BUILTINS protection, so it is stored in the generic host-passthrough loader. Because requireImpl() in lib/setup-node-sandbox.js strips a single 'node:' prefix before the builtin lookup, sandbox code calling require('node:node:test') resolves to the stored node:test key and receives a readonly proxy to the host module. Calls to node:test.run() are forwarded to the host implementation, which spawns a separate Node process for process-isolated test execution and passes through attacker-controlled execArgv values; supplying --eval=<JavaScript> therefore executes arbitrary JavaScript in an unrestricted host Node process outside the NodeVM sandbox. Fixed in vm2 3.11.7. |
| As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco Secure Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center Software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in a software hardening release that addresses multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities.
The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20333 are related to incorrect comparison conditions that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Pillar CWE-697. |
| IBM MQ is vulnerable to an XML external entity injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources. |
| The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin WordPress plugin before 3.7.50 does not verify that the requesting user owns the course before returning its enrolled-student data, allowing users with the MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin WordPress plugin before 3.7.50's Instructor role to disclose the names and email addresses of students enrolled in other instructors' courses. |
| Shuffle through 2.2.1 contains a cross-tenant privilege escalation vulnerability in the HandleApiGeneration endpoint that allows administrators to reset and read API keys of non-administrator users in other organizations. Attackers with admin privileges in one organization can supply arbitrary user IDs to generate valid API keys for users in different organizations, enabling account takeover across tenant boundaries. |
| SIMAC MyPHR 1.1 contains an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to access and modify arbitrary employee records due to missing server-side ownership validation. Attackers can send a PUT request to the employee update endpoint with an arbitrary employee identifier and a controlled password value to take over target accounts, enumerate employee records, and retrieve sensitive personally identifiable information including private pay bulletins. |
| CMAK through 3.0.0.6 fails to apply the scheduled leader election feature toggle to HTML form routes, allowing attackers to bypass the feature gate. Attackers can access the form endpoints to start and stop the recurring election scheduler, disrupting leadership across managed Kafka clusters. |
| PrestaShop psgdpr versions through 1.4.3 fail to validate that GDPR consent log entries are attributed to the authenticated customer. Authenticated attackers can submit arbitrary customer identifiers to create forged consent records for other customers, corrupting audit logs. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in the Acer System Monitoring component included with NitroSense and PredatorSense. A WebSocket service was configured to listen on all network interfaces, which may expose the service to unintended network access. |
| admin3 through 3.0.0 fails to invalidate existing sessions when disabling a user account, allowing attackers to retain authenticated access with original permissions. Attackers can continue using bearer tokens issued before account disablement to authenticate requests, as the AuthInterceptor never re-validates the user's locked status and session expiry resets on each request. |
| In the MISP sachertortephp library, the Xml::build() static method in lib/Cake/Utility/Xml.php contains a logic error in the conditional that gates network-based XML fetching. The original condition was written as: $options['readFile'] && strpos($input, 'http://') === 0 || strpos($input, 'https://') === 0. Because PHP's && operator has higher precedence than ||, the expression is evaluated as ($options['readFile'] && strpos($input, 'http://') === 0) || strpos($input, 'https://') === 0. As a result, when a caller explicitly sets the readFile option to false to disable file and URL reading, an input string beginning with https:// still satisfies the condition and triggers a network fetch via HttpSocket (configured to follow up to 10 redirects). The http:// branch is correctly gated by the readFile flag, but the https:// branch is not. An attacker who can influence the $input parameter passed to Xml::build() can therefore force the application to issue an outbound HTTPS request to an attacker-controlled or internal URL, even though the caller intended to suppress all remote reads. The fetched response is parsed as XML and may be returned to the caller, enabling information disclosure from internal services or external targets. This constitutes a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) weakness with an information-disclosure impact. The vulnerability requires that the code path in Xml::build() be reachable with attacker-controlled input and that the readFile option be set to false (or the caller expects it to be false). |
| google-protobuf contains an unbounded recursion when parsing unknown protobuf group fields. An attacker can send a small crafted payload of deeply nested START_GROUP wire bytes to any Node.js service that calls the generated deserializeBinary() API, causing a RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded and crashing the process. No authentication or prior knowledge of the schema is required. |
| mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, package installation lacked a preflight check for incoming non-directory assets that already existed on disk. The affected logic across libmport/check_preconditions.c, libmport/install_primative.c, and libmport/mport_private.h did not apply MPORT_PRECHECK_FILE_CONFLICTS, so a crafted or conflicting package could overwrite a file owned by another package or unmanaged by mport. The check is bypassed only when the operator explicitly enables mport->force. Privileged installation without that override could compromise local filesystem integrity and package database consistency. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8. |
| MCP Documentation Server is a local-first document management and semantic search server for AI coding agents. From 1.13.0 until 1.13.1, the automatically started Web UI in src/server.ts calls startWebServer in src/web-server.ts with START_WEB_UI enabled by default and WEB_PORT set to 3080. startWebServer uses app.listen(PORT) without a host, which binds the unauthenticated document-management API to all interfaces rather than localhost. A network-reachable client can invoke GET /api/documents, GET /api/documents/:id, POST /api/documents, POST /api/search-all, DELETE /api/documents/:id, and GET /api/config without credentials to enumerate and read documents, search the corpus, insert or delete documents, and tamper with the MCP assistant's knowledge base. The service must be reachable from the attacker's LAN, VM network, container bridge, VPN, or another routed network, and the issue does not provide remote code execution. This issue is fixed in 1.13.1. |
