| CairoSVG is an SVG converter based on Cairo, a 2D graphics library. Prior to 2.9.1, rendering an attacker-controlled SVG with a path containing many segments can cause quadratic CPU consumption in cairosvg/path.py. The path tokenizer repeatedly slices and rescans the remaining path data, while draw_markers drains node.vertices with node.vertices.pop(0), causing repeated linear-time work. The svg2png, svg2pdf, and svg2ps APIs reach these operations during ordinary rendering, allowing a sub-megabyte SVG to consume substantial CPU and deny service to a rendering application. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv4: free net->ipv4.sysctl_local_reserved_ports after unregister_net_sysctl_table()
ipv4_sysctl_exit_net() is currently freeing net->ipv4.sysctl_local_reserved_ports
too soon.
Only after unregister_net_sysctl_table() we can be sure no threads can possibly
use the sysctls, including /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_reserved_ports. |

| datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.59.0 until 0.81.0, an attacker-controlled Protobuf schema can supply absolute or parent-directory paths captured by WEAK_IMPORT_PATTERN and consumed by _write_missing_weak_imports in src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/protobuf.py. Exploitation requires a victim or automated job to process the attacker-controlled schema with Protobuf input support, which requires the grpcio-tools package. The paths escape the weak_imports temporary directory before protoc runs, allowing creation of directory trees and new files or overwrite of existing writable files with a generated Protobuf syntax declaration. The effect persists when later Protobuf compilation fails. The written content is limited to a proto2 or proto3 syntax declaration, and direct arbitrary code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.81.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: bound $AttrDef table walk to the loaded table size
ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef() walks the in-memory $AttrDef table, but the
loop condition bounds only the start of each entry, not the whole entry:
for (ad = vol->attrdef; (u8 *)ad - (u8 *)vol->attrdef <
vol->attrdef_size && ad->type; ++ad)
struct attr_def is 160 bytes; the guard reads ad->type at offset 128 and
the loop body reads further fields. vol->attrdef is kvzalloc(i_size),
where i_size is the on-disk $AttrDef data size, checked in
load_and_init_attrdef() only as 0 < i_size <= 0x7fffffff. A volume whose
$AttrDef data size is smaller than one entry (e.g. 120 bytes) makes the
read of ad->type run past the allocation. Creating a file reaches this
through ntfs_attr_size_bounds_check() and reads out of bounds:
BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef+0x66/0xa0
Read of size 4 at addr ffff888005833280 by task init/1
ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef
ntfs_attr_size_bounds_check
ntfs_attr_can_be_non_resident
ntfs_attr_add
Require the whole entry to lie within attrdef_size in the loop guard, and
reject at mount a $AttrDef too small to hold one attr_def entry. |
| webonyx graphql-php is a PHP implementation of the GraphQL specification. Prior to 15.32.3, GraphQL\Language\Parser performs recursive descent without a recursion limit in parseSelectionSet, parseValueLiteral, and parseTypeReference. A remote attacker can submit deeply nested selection sets, object or list values, or list types that exhaust the PHP process stack during pre-validation parsing, before query validation and complexity controls run. The resulting SIGSEGV can terminate PHP-FPM workers or long-running Swoole, RoadRunner, ReactPHP, or CLI processes and cannot be caught by application-level exception handling. This issue is fixed in version 15.32.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: treat any nonzero dio zero-range return as an error
ntfs_dio_zero_range() returns either 0 or a negative errno from
blkdev_issue_zeroout(); it never returns a positive value. The
zeroing failure check in ntfs_attr_fallocate() therefore never fired,
so a failed zeroing operation was silently ignored: the loop kept
going, the newly allocated clusters were folded into initialized_size
and the write could succeed leaving stale on-disk data.
Treat any nonzero return as an error and abort the allocation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: do not mark the volume clean in sync_fs when errors were recorded
ntfs_put_super() and the remount-read-only path both clear the dirty bit
only when NVolErrors(vol) is false. ntfs_sync_fs() clears it
unconditionally, so any sync() on a volume that recorded an error marks
that volume clean. A volume without this set is then seen as not needing
recovery and it does not run one, so whatever went wrong is never repaired.
This change skips resetting the dirty bit when there are volume errors.
Reproduced on a volume whose $MFTMirr does not match $MFT, which sets the
error flag while leaving the mount read-write: after a write and a sync,
the on-disk volume flags read 0x0000 with this driver and 0x0001 with the
guard in place. |
| The Nickname profile can panic with an out-of-bounds slice error when transforming crafted input into a short destination buffer. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the time and zone management subsystem of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1. When updating system timezone settings via the REST API or configuration download routines, the system fails to sanitize input values before processing them in underlying shell execution routines. An authenticated user with low-privilege administrative access can exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted timezone string containing shell metacharacters. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to escape the restricted management environment and execute arbitrary shell commands with elevated privileges. |
| In OpenStack Mistral through 23.0.0, several of the v2 API write paths resolve the target object with a query that can return another project's resource, then write to it. An authenticated project member can use this to rewrite and un-publish another project's public action definitions and environments. A project administrator can create a workbook whose embedded ad-hoc action or workflow name collides with a resource of another project, which moves that resource into the caller's project and causes the original owner's subsequent updates of it to fail with server errors. Only deployments exposing the Mistral API are affected. |
| Improper certificate validation in gnutls v3.8.13 causes the application to reject legitimate certificates for valid users, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). |
