CVE-2026-56210 2 Aomedia, Redhat 7 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2026-10-05 7.1 High
A heap-buffer-overflow read vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows setting a spatial_layer_id exceeding the configured number of layers. This causes an out-of-bounds heap read of approximately 40,728 bytes when computing a layer context array index. An attacker who can influence SVC encoder parameters in a network-facing service could exploit this for information disclosure (heap content leak) or denial of service (segmentation fault from hitting unmapped memory).
CVE-2026-56209 2 Aomedia, Redhat 7 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2026-10-05 7.1 High
An arbitrary address write vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows an attacker to inject an arbitrary pointer into the cyclic refresh map field via crafted image pixel values. The encoder then writes approximately 1,200 bytes at the attacker-controlled address. This is fully deterministic and does not require a separate information leak. An attacker who can supply frames to a network-facing libaom encoder with SVC enabled could exploit this for denial of service or potential code execution.
CVE-2026-56208 2 Aomedia, Redhat 14 Libaom, Ai Inference Server, Enterprise Linux and 11 more 2026-10-05 7.6 High
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A flaw in the AV1 encoder's Look-Ahead Processing (LAP) mode causes the first-pass stats ring buffer wrap-around guard to be bypassed when g_lag_in_frames is set to 1 or higher. This results in a 232-byte out-of-bounds write on every encoded frame after the second, corrupting adjacent heap objects. An attacker who can influence encoder configuration in a transcoding service or WebRTC session could exploit this to cause a denial of service (process crash) or potentially achieve code execution.
CVE-2026-96512 2 Redhat, Sudo Project 4 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 1 more 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in sudo. When sudoers rules use NOTBEFORE or NOTAFTER time-based access restrictions with timestamps that omit the trailing 'Z' timezone indicator, the time evaluation relies on the TZ environment variable inherited from the calling user. Because sudo is a setuid-root program, an unprivileged local user can set TZ to an extreme timezone offset to shift the authorization window by up to approximately 25 hours, causing expired rules to be treated as valid. This allows the user to execute commands outside the intended time window. Authentication is not bypassed; only the time-based authorization check is affected.
CVE-2026-97185 2 Gimp, Redhat 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted GIMPressionist preset file, the plug-in does not properly validate vector indices before writing into fixed-size arrays. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to load a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-92248 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the file-psd plugin in GIMP. When generating a thumbnail preview for a specially crafted PSD (Photoshop Document) image file, an integer overflow occurs during the multiplication of values from an embedded JPEG header. This leads to an undersized heap allocation, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow when the image data is decoded. This buffer overflow corrupts adjacent heap objects, allowing for a controlled memory write that can result in an application crash or arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-90948 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in GIMP's ICO file loader. When processing an ICO file containing an embedded PNG image, an integer overflow can occur during the calculation of the required buffer size. This leads to an undersized buffer being allocated, causing a heap-based buffer overflow when the decoded pixel data is written. A remote attacker could exploit this by crafting a malicious ICO file, which, when opened, could lead to arbitrary code execution or a crash.
CVE-2026-90947 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted lighting preset file, the Lighting Effects filter does not properly validate the number of light sources. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to open a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-63622 2 Libvirt, Redhat 11 Libvirt, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in libvirt. A local attacker, specifically a process running as the confined `swtpm` user, could exploit a symlink-following vulnerability in the `virFileChownFiles()` function. By planting a symbolic link within the `swtpm` state directory, the attacker could trick the root-level libvirt daemon into changing the ownership of an arbitrary file to the `swtpm` user. This allows for privilege escalation from the `swtpm` sandbox to root-level file ownership control.
CVE-2026-18917 1 Redhat 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux Nvidia and 7 more 2026-10-05 7.8 High
A flaw was found in libvirt. An unprivileged local user could exploit an integer overflow vulnerability in the NodeGetFreePages RPC handler. This flaw allows crafted values to bypass a size check, leading to an undersized memory buffer. Subsequently, real NUMA node data can overwrite this buffer. This heap buffer overflow can corrupt the root libvirt daemon's memory, potentially leading to a denial of service or local privilege escalation.
CVE-2026-76561 1 Redhat 2 Certificate System, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 7.2 High
A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI, as used by FreeIPA's certificate authority component. The certificate profile import functionality does not fully validate uploaded profile content beyond the profile ID. An authenticated user with CA Administrator privileges can exploit Dogtag's ExternalProcessConstraint mechanism to execute arbitrary commands with attacker-controlled environment variables, achieving code execution as the pkiuser account.
CVE-2026-95512 2 Freetype, Redhat 6 Freetype, Build Of Openjdk 11 Els, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2026-10-04 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in FreeType, specifically within its CID font loader. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into opening content that embeds or references a specially crafted CID-keyed font. This crafted font can cause repeated allocations and decryptions of subroutine data across multiple font dictionaries, leading to excessive memory and CPU consumption. This can result in a denial of service (DoS) for the application or service processing the font, potentially causing it to hang or terminate.
CVE-2024-41062 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bluetooth/l2cap: sync sock recv cb and release The problem occurs between the system call to close the sock and hci_rx_work, where the former releases the sock and the latter accesses it without lock protection. CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- sock_close hci_rx_work l2cap_sock_release hci_acldata_packet l2cap_sock_kill l2cap_recv_frame sk_free l2cap_conless_channel l2cap_sock_recv_cb If hci_rx_work processes the data that needs to be received before the sock is closed, then everything is normal; Otherwise, the work thread may access the released sock when receiving data. Add a chan mutex in the rx callback of the sock to achieve synchronization between the sock release and recv cb. Sock is dead, so set chan data to NULL, avoid others use invalid sock pointer.
CVE-2025-21759 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: extend RCU protection in igmp6_send() igmp6_send() can be called without RTNL or RCU being held. Extend RCU protection so that we can safely fetch the net pointer and avoid a potential UAF. Note that we no longer can use sock_alloc_send_skb() because ipv6.igmp_sk uses GFP_KERNEL allocations which can sleep. Instead use alloc_skb() and charge the net->ipv6.igmp_sk socket under RCU protection.
CVE-2024-41085 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/mem: Fix no cxl_nvd during pmem region auto-assembling When CXL subsystem is auto-assembling a pmem region during cxl endpoint port probing, always hit below calltrace. Currently the cxl_nvd is registered after the endpoint port probe. The endpoint probe, in the case of autoassembly of regions, can cause a pmem region probe requiring the not yet available cxl_nvd. Adjust the sequence so this dependency is met. This requires adding a port parameter to cxl_find_nvdimm_bridge() that can be used to query the ancestor root port. The endpoint port is not yet available, but will share a common ancestor with its parent, so start the query from there instead.
CVE-2024-41082 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-fabrics: use reserved tag for reg read/write command In some scenarios, if too many commands are issued by nvme command in the same time by user tasks, this may exhaust all tags of admin_q. If a reset (nvme reset or IO timeout) occurs before these commands finish, reconnect routine may fail to update nvme regs due to insufficient tags, which will cause kernel hang forever. In order to workaround this issue, maybe we can let reg_read32()/reg_read64()/reg_write32() use reserved tags. This maybe safe for nvmf: 1. For the disable ctrl path, we will not issue connect command 2. For the enable ctrl / fw activate path, since connect and reg_xx() are called serially. So the reserved tags may still be enough while reg_xx() use reserved tags.
CVE-2022-49142 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: preserve skb_end_offset() in skb_unclone_keeptruesize() syzbot found another way to trigger the infamous WARN_ON_ONCE(delta < len) in skb_try_coalesce() [1] I was able to root cause the issue to kfence. When kfence is in action, the following assertion is no longer true: int size = xxxx; void *ptr1 = kmalloc(size, gfp); void *ptr2 = kmalloc(size, gfp); if (ptr1 && ptr2) ASSERT(ksize(ptr1) == ksize(ptr2)); We attempted to fix these issues in the blamed commits, but forgot that TCP was possibly shifting data after skb_unclone_keeptruesize() has been used, notably from tcp_retrans_try_collapse(). So we not only need to keep same skb->truesize value, we also need to make sure TCP wont fill new tailroom that pskb_expand_head() was able to get from a addr = kmalloc(...) followed by ksize(addr) Split skb_unclone_keeptruesize() into two parts: 1) Inline skb_unclone_keeptruesize() for the common case, when skb is not cloned. 2) Out of line __skb_unclone_keeptruesize() for the 'slow path'. CVE-2026-104988 1 Redhat 2 Certificate System, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-02 8.1 High
A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI (pki-core). The CMCAuthForEST authentication plugin fails open when an EST fullcmc enrollment request is submitted via BasicAuth without an end-user TLS client certificate. The SSL_CLIENT_CERT session attribute retains the EST subsystem's agent certificate, which causes downstream authorization checks to treat the request as agent-privileged. An authenticated EST user can exploit this to obtain CA-signed certificates with arbitrary subject names.
CVE-2026-17523 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-02 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: switch timer to HRTIMER_MODE_SOFT and remove hrtimer_tasklet This patch switches the timer to HRTIMER_MODE_SOFT, which executed the timer callback in softirq context and removes the hrtimer_tasklet.
CVE-2026-86344 1 Redhat 2 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-02 7.5 High
A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a complete LDAP operation followed by the first bytes of an incomplete LDAPMessage on the same connection, causing the server to hand that connection to a second worker thread before the first worker's result is flushed. The second worker blocks until nsslapd-ioblocktimeout while holding the connection mutex, preventing delivery of the completed operation's result. Repeating this across a small number of connections proportional to the configured worker-thread pool size exhausts the entire pool under default configuration, denying service to all clients (anonymous and authenticated, plaintext and TLS) for as long as the attacker maintains the connections.
