CVSS v3.1 |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Kernel allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Incorrect default permissions in Windows Server Update Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a user of one tenant to read, overwrite and take over another tenant's records via an upserting create action.
Under attribute multitenancy, Ash.Actions.Create (lib/ash/actions/create/create.ex) and Ash.Actions.Create.Bulk (lib/ash/actions/create/bulk.ex) upserted on the primary key, or on an all_tenants? identity, without scoping the conflicting record to the request's tenant. A caller of a create action with upsert? true that accepts the primary key, supplying a record id from another tenant, updated that record's upsert fields and received all of its attributes in the result. With the default upsert fields the tenant attribute was written too, moving the record into the caller's tenant. Read and update policies do not run for upserts, and tenant-scoped create policies pass because the tenant is the caller's own.
This issue affects ash: from 1.22.0 before 3.37.2. |
| Weak Password Recovery Mechanism for Forgotten Password vulnerability in HAVELSAN Inc. Liman MYS allows Password Recovery Exploitation.
This issue affects Liman MYS: from 2.3.4-1124 before 2.3.5-1131. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Ahsay AhsayCBS up to 9.15.2.69/10.3.4.44. This affects the function checkSysPwd of the file com/ahsay/obs/api/ApiStructsAction.java of the component API. Performing a manipulation of the argument random results in improper authentication. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. Upgrading to version 9.15.2.70 and 10.3.4.45 is able to mitigate this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The initial patch did not fix the security vulnerability properly. An update of the CVE entry to reflect this became necessary. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/ttm: fix swapped-out resources never leaving their bulk_move range
ttm_tt_swapout() returns the number of pages swapped out on success and
a negative error code on failure; for a populated ttm it never returns
zero. Commit b2ed01e7ad3d ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU
walk on swapout failure") moved the bulk_move bookkeeping in
ttm_bo_swapout_cb() under "if (!ret)", so the
ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() / ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail()
pair is now skipped on every successful swapout. The equivalent change
for the shrinker in commit 1d59f36e95f7 ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_shrink()
infinite LRU walk on backup failure") tests "lret > 0", which is what
was intended here as well.
Before b2ed01e7ad3d the resource was taken off the bulk_move before the
swapout; since then a swapped-out resource stays inside its BO's
bulk_move range (and on the manager LRU) although it is unevictable.
When it is later freed or the BO leaves the bulk_move
(ttm_resource_free(), ttm_bo_set_bulk_move() via amdgpu_vm_bo_del()),
ttm_resource_del_bulk_move() skips it because of its
!ttm_resource_unevictable() guard, so a range endpoint in pos->first /
pos->last is left pointing at freed memory. The next
ttm_lru_bulk_move_tail() or ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() on that cursor
is a use-after-free, seen as the resv WARN in ttm_lru_bulk_move_add(),
"list_del corruption" in ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() or a NULL
dereference in ttm_resource_manager_next() -- minutes to hours after a
hibernation, or at process exit / reboot following one. Samuel
Ainsworth's analysis of drm/amd issue 5387 (see Link) identified the
dangling cursor; the missing removal at swapout time is the reason it
dangles.
Testing the condition for success restores the removal. On an AMD
Phoenix APU (ASUS UM3406GA, gfx1103) running suspend-then-hibernate on
a 7.0.y stable kernel carrying the backport (Ubuntu 7.0.0-31) the bug
crashed 5 of 18 hibernation cycles; a function profile of one
hibernation showed 336 ttm_tt_swapout() calls and zero
ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() calls. With this change the
removal happens for every swapped-out resource and 12 further cycles
were clean. |

| Uncontrolled resource allocation in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server allocate a large amount of memory via sending a crafted mcpack request with a huge array item count.
Root Cause:
The bRPC mcpack2pb parser trusts the item count stored in the mcpack array header without validating it against the actual payload size. The code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin uses this count to preallocate memory for repeated protobuf fields via Reserve(). A malformed request declaring item_count = 0x7fffffff can force the server to preallocate about 16GB of virtual memory, which may abort the process (SIGABRT) on memory-constrained hosts.
Affected Scenarios:
Use a bRPC server that wires a NsheadService to UbrpcMcpack2Adaptor (the Baidu ubrpc deployment pattern) and parses requests with code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin. The request body is parsed before authentication.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3451
Note:
No matter which option you choose, you should know that the fix caps the array item count to the remaining bytes of the array payload. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
parport: Fix race between port and client registration
The parport subsystem registers port devices before they are fully
initialised, resulting in a race condition where client drivers such
as lp can attach to ports that are not completely initialised or even
being torn down.
When the port and client drivers are built as modules and loaded
around the same time during boot, this occasionally results in a
crash. I was able to make this happen reliably in a VM with a
PC-style parallel port by patching parport_pc to fail probing:
> --- a/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c
> +++ b/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c
> @@ -2069,7 +2069,7 @@ static struct parport *__parport_pc_probe_port(unsigned long int base,
> if (!p)
> goto out3;
>
> - base_res = request_region(base, 3, p->name);
> + base_res = NULL;
> if (!base_res)
> goto out4;
>
and then running:
while true; do
modprobe lp & modprobe parport_pc
wait
rmmod lp parport_pc
done
for a few seconds.
In the long term I think port registration should be changed to put
the call to device_add() inside parport_announce_port(), but since the
latter currently cannot fail this will require changing all port
drivers.
For now, add a flag to indicate whether a port has been "announced"
and only try to attach client drivers to ports when the flag is set. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix UAF in hci_le_create_cis_sync
hci_le_create_cis_sync() dereferences conn->conn_timeout after releasing
both rcu_read_lock() and hci_dev_lock(hdev). The conn pointer was
obtained from an RCU-protected iteration over hdev->conn_hash.list and
is not valid once these locks are dropped. A concurrent disconnect can
free the hci_conn between the unlock and the dereference, causing a
use-after-free read.
The cancellation mechanism in hci_conn_del() cannot prevent this because
hci_le_create_cis_pending() queues hci_create_cis_sync with data=NULL:
hci_cmd_sync_queue(hdev, hci_create_cis_sync, NULL, NULL);
While hci_conn_del() dequeues with data=conn:
hci_cmd_sync_dequeue(hdev, NULL, conn, NULL);
Since NULL != conn, the lookup in _hci_cmd_sync_lookup_entry() never
matches, and the pending work item is not cancelled.
Fix this by saving conn->conn_timeout into a local variable while the
locks are still held, so the stale conn pointer is never dereferenced
after unlock.
This is the same class of bug as the one fixed by commit 035c25007c9e
("Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix UAF on le_read_features_complete") which
addressed the identical pattern in a different function.
This vulnerability was identified using 0sec.ai, an open-source
automated security auditing platform (https://github.com/0sec-labs). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: ISO: serialize iso_sock_clear_timer with socket lock
iso_sock_close() calls iso_sock_clear_timer() before acquiring
lock_sock(sk).
iso_sock_clear_timer() reads iso_pi(sk)->conn twice without the
socket lock held:
if (!iso_pi(sk)->conn)
return;
cancel_delayed_work(&iso_pi(sk)->conn->timeout_work);
Concurrently, iso_conn_del() executes under lock_sock(sk) and calls
iso_chan_del(), which sets iso_pi(sk)->conn to NULL and may result in
the final reference to the connection being dropped:
CPU0 CPU1
---- ----
iso_sock_clear_timer()
if (conn != NULL) ... lock_sock(sk)
iso_chan_del()
iso_pi(sk)->conn = NULL
cancel_delayed_work(conn) /* NULL deref or UAF */
iso_pi(sk)->conn is not stable across the unlock window, causing a
NULL pointer dereference or use-after-free.
Serialize iso_sock_clear_timer() with the socket lock by moving it
inside lock_sock()/release_sock(), matching the pattern used in
iso_conn_del() and all other call sites. |
