CVE-2026-104038 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in sssd. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service (DoS) by submitting a certificate that lacks an expected Security Identifier (SID) extension. In deployments configured with SID-based certificate mapping rules, the service fails to verify the presence of the extension before processing it, causing the process to crash during authentication or lookup operations.
CVE-2026-104039 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can cause a denial of service (DoS) by disrupting system authentication services. When handling Generic Security Services Application Programming Interface (GSSAPI) authentication in the Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) responder, cached connection state is freed upon completion without clearing the reference pointer. An attacker can exploit this by sending an additional request over the same connection, causing the service to access invalid memory and unexpectedly terminate.
CVE-2026-104040 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 4.4 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured with the Entra ID identity provider, input lookup names containing single quotes are not properly escaped before being included in Microsoft Graph Open Data Protocol (OData) queries. A low-privileged local user can exploit this flaw by submitting a crafted search request, altering query filters to broaden user or group searches. This can lead to information disclosure by retrieving unintended directory objects, as well as a Denial of Service (DoS) through excessive processing and cache population.
CVE-2026-104042 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in sssd. A local attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a crafted Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) request containing a zero-length authentication token to the responder socket. Due to missing input validation, the service attempts to read beyond buffer boundaries when processing the token, causing the PAM responder to crash.
CVE-2026-104043 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local attacker with access to the Name Service Switch (NSS) responder UNIX socket can trigger an integer underflow by sending a specially crafted request with an undersized packet header. This issue causes an out-of-bounds memory read during packet parsing, crashing the responder process and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-104044 2 Redhat, Sssd 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2026-10-06 6.2 Medium
A flaw was found in sssd. A local attacker can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a specially crafted Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) request when passkey authentication is enabled. Due to a missing state validation check in passkey Kerberos handling, the PAM responder dereferences an uninitialized pointer and crashes. This failure disrupts authentication services on the host.
CVE-2026-104031 3 Red Hat, Redhat, Sssd 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more 2026-10-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. In configurations where the autofs responder service is enabled, memory allocated during successful request processing is not released until the client connection terminates. A local attacker can exploit this vulnerability by maintaining an open connection and repeatedly submitting valid requests, leading to memory exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-88252 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift 2026-10-06 4.7 Medium
A flaw was found in sssd. A local user can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by exhausting the responder service's available file descriptors (system handles used for open connections). By opening and maintaining many concurrent connections to a responder socket while continuing to queue new connection attempts, an attacker can trigger an unthrottled retry loop. This condition leads to high CPU utilization and stalls the service, preventing legitimate identity and authentication requests from being processed.
CVE-2025-12543 1 Redhat 19 Apache Camel Hawtio, Apache Camel Spring Boot, Build Of Apache Camel and 16 more 2026-10-06 9.6 Critical
A flaw was found in the Undertow HTTP server core, which is used in WildFly, JBoss EAP, and other Java applications. The Undertow library fails to properly validate the Host header in incoming HTTP requests. As a result, requests containing malformed or malicious Host headers are processed without rejection, enabling attackers to poison caches, perform internal network scans, or hijack user sessions.
CVE-2026-105326 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird 2026-10-06 2.5 Low
An argument injection flaw was found in CUPS. When email notification is configured, the CUPS scheduler accepts printer subscription requests that supply a mailto notify-recipient-uri. The mailto notifier passes the recipient address to the configured sendmail program without ensuring it cannot be interpreted as command-line options. A remote attacker who can reach the CUPS service could supply a crafted recipient value starting with "-" to influence sendmail behavior. Successful exploitation depends on the installed mail transfer agent and CUPS network exposure, and may lead to execution of attacker-controlled commands with the privileges of the CUPS service user.
CVE-2026-104041 2 Redhat, Sssd 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Sssd 2026-10-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in SSSD. An unprivileged local user can repeatedly request lookups for nonexistent entries through the Name Service Switch (NSS) responder. Because the negative cache does not limit the total number of stored entries and only removes expired records when an existing key is rechecked, the cache can grow without bound. This behavior can lead to memory exhaustion, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) as the responder becomes unresponsive or terminates.
CVE-2026-95512 2 Freetype, Redhat 6 Freetype, Build Of Openjdk 11 Els, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2026-10-06 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in FreeType, specifically within its CID font loader. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into opening content that embeds or references a specially crafted CID-keyed font. This crafted font can cause repeated allocations and decryptions of subroutine data across multiple font dictionaries, leading to excessive memory and CPU consumption. This can result in a denial of service (DoS) for the application or service processing the font, potentially causing it to hang or terminate.
CVE-2026-104988 1 Redhat 2 Certificate System, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-05 8.1 High
A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI (pki-core). The CMCAuthForEST authentication plugin fails open when an EST fullcmc enrollment request is submitted via BasicAuth without an end-user TLS client certificate. The SSL_CLIENT_CERT session attribute retains the EST subsystem's agent certificate, which causes downstream authorization checks to treat the request as agent-privileged. An authenticated EST user can exploit this to obtain CA-signed certificates with arbitrary subject names.
CVE-2024-41062 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bluetooth/l2cap: sync sock recv cb and release The problem occurs between the system call to close the sock and hci_rx_work, where the former releases the sock and the latter accesses it without lock protection. CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- sock_close hci_rx_work l2cap_sock_release hci_acldata_packet l2cap_sock_kill l2cap_recv_frame sk_free l2cap_conless_channel l2cap_sock_recv_cb If hci_rx_work processes the data that needs to be received before the sock is closed, then everything is normal; Otherwise, the work thread may access the released sock when receiving data. Add a chan mutex in the rx callback of the sock to achieve synchronization between the sock release and recv cb. Sock is dead, so set chan data to NULL, avoid others use invalid sock pointer.
CVE-2025-21759 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: extend RCU protection in igmp6_send() igmp6_send() can be called without RTNL or RCU being held. Extend RCU protection so that we can safely fetch the net pointer and avoid a potential UAF. Note that we no longer can use sock_alloc_send_skb() because ipv6.igmp_sk uses GFP_KERNEL allocations which can sleep. Instead use alloc_skb() and charge the net->ipv6.igmp_sk socket under RCU protection.
CVE-2024-41085 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/mem: Fix no cxl_nvd during pmem region auto-assembling When CXL subsystem is auto-assembling a pmem region during cxl endpoint port probing, always hit below calltrace. BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000078 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page RIP: 0010:cxl_pmem_region_probe+0x22e/0x360 [cxl_pmem] Call Trace: <TASK> ? __die+0x24/0x70 ? page_fault_oops+0x82/0x160 ? do_user_addr_fault+0x65/0x6b0 ? exc_page_fault+0x7d/0x170 ? asm_exc_page_fault+0x26/0x30 ? cxl_pmem_region_probe+0x22e/0x360 [cxl_pmem] ? cxl_pmem_region_probe+0x1ac/0x360 [cxl_pmem] cxl_bus_probe+0x1b/0x60 [cxl_core] really_probe+0x173/0x410 ? __pfx___device_attach_driver+0x10/0x10 __driver_probe_device+0x80/0x170 driver_probe_device+0x1e/0x90 __device_attach_driver+0x90/0x120 bus_for_each_drv+0x84/0xe0 __device_attach+0xbc/0x1f0 bus_probe_device+0x90/0xa0 device_add+0x51c/0x710 devm_cxl_add_pmem_region+0x1b5/0x380 [cxl_core] cxl_bus_probe+0x1b/0x60 [cxl_core] The cxl_nvd of the memdev needs to be available during the pmem region probe. Currently the cxl_nvd is registered after the endpoint port probe. The endpoint probe, in the case of autoassembly of regions, can cause a pmem region probe requiring the not yet available cxl_nvd. Adjust the sequence so this dependency is met. This requires adding a port parameter to cxl_find_nvdimm_bridge() that can be used to query the ancestor root port. The endpoint port is not yet available, but will share a common ancestor with its parent, so start the query from there instead.
CVE-2024-41082 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-fabrics: use reserved tag for reg read/write command In some scenarios, if too many commands are issued by nvme command in the same time by user tasks, this may exhaust all tags of admin_q. If a reset (nvme reset or IO timeout) occurs before these commands finish, reconnect routine may fail to update nvme regs due to insufficient tags, which will cause kernel hang forever. In order to workaround this issue, maybe we can let reg_read32()/reg_read64()/reg_write32() use reserved tags. This maybe safe for nvmf: 1. For the disable ctrl path, we will not issue connect command 2. For the enable ctrl / fw activate path, since connect and reg_xx() are called serially. So the reserved tags may still be enough while reg_xx() use reserved tags.
CVE-2026-17523 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-02 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: switch timer to HRTIMER_MODE_SOFT and remove hrtimer_tasklet This patch switches the timer to HRTIMER_MODE_SOFT, which executed the timer callback in softirq context and removes the hrtimer_tasklet.
CVE-2026-86344 1 Redhat 2 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux 2026-10-02 7.5 High
A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a complete LDAP operation followed by the first bytes of an incomplete LDAPMessage on the same connection, causing the server to hand that connection to a second worker thread before the first worker's result is flushed. The second worker blocks until nsslapd-ioblocktimeout while holding the connection mutex, preventing delivery of the completed operation's result. Repeating this across a small number of connections proportional to the configured worker-thread pool size exhausts the entire pool under default configuration, denying service to all clients (anonymous and authenticated, plaintext and TLS) for as long as the attacker maintains the connections.
CVE-2025-10911 1 Redhat 12 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 9 more 2026-10-02 5.5 Medium
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in libxslt while parsing xsl nodes that may lead to the dereference of expired pointers and application crash.
