CVSS v3.1 |
| FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.5.0 until 2.5.6, the native DLS loader assigns file-controlled wsmp.loop_start and wsmp.loop_length values to samples without calling fluid_sample_validate() or fluid_sample_sanitize_loop(). A crafted DLS file can place sample loop points beyond the sample buffer, causing out-of-bounds reads during audio rendering, undefined behavior, possible memory disclosure, and denial of service. Builds compiled with the CMake option enable-native-dls set to OFF do not expose the affected parser. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: fix stride mismatch in mac_phy_caps_parse()
Currently, in ath11k_wmi_tlv_mac_phy_caps_parse(), kcalloc() sizes the
mac_phy_caps buffer as tot_phy_id * len, where len is clamped to
min(firmware_len, sizeof(struct wmi_mac_phy_capabilities)). The subsequent
memcpy() destination advances by sizeof(full struct) per slot via C
pointer arithmetic, not by the clamped len. When firmware sends short
TLVs, the second and later slots are written past the end of the
allocation.
The reader in ath11k_pull_mac_phy_cap_svc_ready_ext() also indexes the
buffer with full-struct pointer arithmetic, so the allocation must match
that stride.
Fix by using kzalloc_objs(), which derives the element size from the
pointer type, making allocation size and pointer stride provably
consistent regardless of what len the firmware provides.
Compile tested only. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cxl/features: Reject Get Feature count larger than the output buffer
cxlctl_get_feature() sizes its output buffer from the user's
fwctl_rpc.out_len, but the device is told to write
cxl_mbox_get_feat_in.count bytes into rpc_out->payload, which is a
separate user-controlled value. Nothing bounds count against out_len, so
a small out_len with a large count overflows the kvzalloc()'d buffer.
A heap OOB write reachable from FWCTL_RPC.
Reject requests where count exceeds the available payload room, before
allocating. |
| IBM MQ for HPE NonStop 8.1.0 through 8.1.0.40 IBM MQ C client could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code due to improper validation of queue manager responses when requesting AMS policy data. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: qgroup: fix a wrong length calculation in qgroup_free_reserved_data()
In that function, we round down the start position and round up the
ending position.
But during the calculation of @len, we use "round_up(start + len,
sectorsize)", which is the rounded up end position, not the rounded up
length.
Which results a much larger length, and later we are still using
"start + len", which is completely incorrect.
Fix it by declaring a local @aligned_start and @aligned_len and use them
instead. |

| IBM MQ for HPE NonStop 8.1.0 through 8.1.0.40 could allow an authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code due to a heap buffer underflow when processing multi-segment messages. |
| SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. In 0.9.10 and earlier, psd_private_sail_pixel_format() in src/sail-codecs/psd/helpers.c resolves a one-channel PSD in Bitmap color mode to SAIL_PIXEL_FORMAT_BPP1_INDEXED without requiring the file depth to be one, so the pixel buffer uses one-bit rows while sail_codec_load_frame_v8_psd() in src/sail-codecs/psd/psd.c accepts depth == 8 and writes one attacker-controlled byte per pixel. Loading a crafted PSD through sail_load_from_file() or sail_load_from_memory() therefore writes beyond each heap row, causing memory corruption, a reliable crash, or potential code execution. This mode/depth mismatch is distinct from GHSA-rcqx-gc76-r9mv and GHSA-wcj8-hxxf-pq2c. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |

| vm2 through 3.11.6 contains a builtin-module denylist bypass in NodeVM. When the embedder uses the builtin wildcard together with negative entries (e.g. require: { builtin: ['*', '-fs', '-child_process'] }), negative entries are matched by exact module name in lib/builtin.js, so -fs removes only the builtin named fs and does not remove builtin subpaths such as fs/promises. Sandboxed code can therefore call require('fs/promises') or require('node:fs/promises') and reach the promise-based filesystem API despite fs being denied; node: prefix handling is likewise inconsistent (a -node:fs/promises entry does not block require('fs/promises')). Host file creation and writing were confirmed via fsp.writeFile(), and other fs/promises operations (cp, mkdir, rename, rm, rmdir, truncate, read operations, etc.) are also reachable. This issue is fixed in vm2 3.11.7. |
| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_v3_module module. When using HTTP/3 with OpenSSL versions <= OpenSSL 3.5.0 under certain configurations, a limited heap buffer overflow could happen while processing a TLS handshake. This can happen in a non-deterministic manner that is beyond the attacker's control. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart and/or limited data corruption.
Impact:
This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) on the NGINX system or limited data corruption. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| A vulnerability was determined in GPAC 26.07.0. This affects the function rmt_client_handle_ws_frame of the file src/utils/rmt_ws.c of the component WebSocket Handler. Executing a manipulation of the argument payload_size can lead to heap-based buffer overflow. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. Upgrading to version abi-16.26 is able to mitigate this issue. This patch is called 37bccbb30cf53a0e1a084cea9a1ce422b3ddfe12. Upgrading the affected component is recommended. |
| Freeciv versions before 3.2.6 contain a heap buffer overflow in worklist_load() when processing savegame files with declared worklist lengths exceeding the fixed array bound of 64 elements. Attackers can craft malicious savegame files that write past the entries array into adjacent heap-allocated struct fields, potentially corrupting memory when a user or server operator loads the file. |
| IBM MQ could allow an authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code due to improper validation of message distribution list structures. |
| virtio-win provides Windows paravirtualized drivers for QEMU and KVM. From mm210 until mm320, the Viosock driver permits a low-privilege local process to submit an IOCTL_SELECT request with attacker-controlled VIRTIO_VSOCK_SELECT.Fdss[*].fd_count values that overflow the 32-bit sum used by VIOSockSelect for bounds checking. The wrapped sum can pass the FD_SETSIZE check even though an individual descriptor count is much larger than the expected limit. VIOSockSelectCopyFds then iterates using the unchecked count and writes beyond the allocated pPkt->Fds array in the NonPagedPool kernel heap. Successful exploitation can corrupt kernel memory and enable privilege escalation in a Windows guest running the driver. This issue is fixed in mm320. |
