CVSS v3.1 |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's binary property-list Unicode parser was vulnerable because the binary-property-list Unicode parser underallocated an uninitialized UTF-8 destination and did not guarantee NUL termination. The vulnerability is triggered by running the explicit pFB or pFBj commands on untrusted binary property-list data. The json encoder treated the converted data as a nul-terminated c string and could continue reading beyond the allocation. This can cause disclosure of uninitialized or adjacent heap contents in JSON output and possible process termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| Out-of-bounds read for the Intel(R) NPU Driver for all versions within Ring 3: User Applications may allow a denial of service. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (low) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
| SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. Prior to 3.6, the MobiDoc::ParseHeader function in src/MobiDoc.cpp validates a record using kMobiHeaderMinLen but DecodeMobiDocHeader constructs a decoder sized for kMobiHeaderLen without receiving the actual remaining buffer length. A malformed MOBI file can use an attacker-controlled header length to bypass optional-field early returns and cause the decoder to read beyond a short heap buffer. Opening the crafted document can crash SumatraPDF. This issue is fixed in version 3.6. |
| The convert.base64-encode, convert.quoted-printable-encode and convert.quoted-printable-decode stream filters accept a line-break-chars option whose length is tracked separately from the string itself. The filter constructors duplicate the value with pestrdup(), which stops at the first NUL byte, while keeping the original length. When the filter later emits a line break it copies the recorded length out of the truncated allocation, reading past its end and placing adjacent heap bytes into the filter output. |
| php_openssl_matches_wildcard_name() in ext/openssl/xp_ssl.c underflows the length argument passed to memchr() when a TLS server certificate presents a wildcard name whose literal characters are together longer than the hostname being verified. A malicious server presenting such a certificate makes the PHP client read up to SIZE_MAX bytes past the end of a heap allocation. The path is reachable from any default client stream, because verify_peer_name is enabled by default. |
| The mysqlnd wire protocol parser reads fields out of server packets before checking that the packet still holds enough bytes for them. A malicious or compromised MySQL server can send a truncated packet and make the client read past the end of the packet buffer, which is undefined behaviour and can crash the process. |

| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Mach-O LC_DATA_IN_CODE parser was vulnerable because the Mach-O LC_DATA_IN_CODE parser trusted dataoff and datasize and allowed a final partial record to be processed. The vulnerability is triggered by opening a crafted Mach-O file while the non-default bin.verbose option is enabled. When datasize was not a multiple of data_in_code_entry, the last iteration read beyond the allocated buffer. This can cause a heap out-of-bounds read and possible process termination; no attacker-observable memory disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Lua 5.3 bytecode function parser was vulnerable because the Lua 5.3 bytecode function parser read fixed function-metadata fields immediately after a function-name string without checking the remaining buffer length. The vulnerability is triggered by opening or inspecting a crafted Lua 5.3 bytecode file whose function-name string ends at the input-buffer boundary. The parser read two integers and three one-byte fields beyond the allocated input buffer. This can cause invalid parser results or process termination; no attacker-observable memory disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0. |
| Out-of-bounds read in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| zserge jsmn commit 25647e6 is vulnerable to Buffer Overflow in example/jsondump.c dump(). |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Connecting to a malicious NFS server may cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. |
| BusyBox TLS get_client_hello() reads past the end of the input buffer when parsing a truncated ClientHello message. |
| When the HTTP stream wrapper follows a redirect and the response carries a Location header with an empty value, the redirect code reads one byte past the end of the heap buffer holding the location. The value of that out-of-bounds byte decides which redirect target is built, so a malicious server controls whether the client is sent to the host root or to the current directory. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
of: fix out-of-bounds read in of_alias_scan() stem parser
The stem parser tests isdigit(*(end - 1)) before checking end > start
and so reads one byte before the property name when the name is empty
or all digits. Check the bound first. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: harden FRU PIA parsing with bounded helpers
Replace the open-coded TLV walk with fru_pia_advance()
and fru_pia_copy_field() helpers that bound every read
by the actual EEPROM data length, preventing out-of-bounds
reads on truncated or malformed FRU data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme: validate FDP configuration descriptor sizes
Validate descriptor sizes while walking the FDP configurations log so
dsze == 0 or a descriptor past the log end cannot cause unbounded
iteration or reads past the buffer. |
