CVSS v3.1 |
| BusyBox TLS get_client_hello() reads past the end of the input buffer when parsing a truncated ClientHello message. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the CGI program of Zyxel GS1900-48HPv2 firmware versions through 2.90(ABTQ.1)C0 could allow a LAN-based, unauthenticated attacker to exploit the flaw and potentially execute OS commands via a crafted HTTP request. |
| PLANET IGS-5225-8P2T4S industrial managed switch V1 and V2 firmware versions before 1.2412b260707 and 2.2412b260519 contain a stack-based buffer overflow in the web server. Insufficient bounds checking on data copied into a stack buffer allows a remote administrator to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code on the underlying operating system. |
| When the HTTP stream wrapper follows a redirect and the response carries a Location header with an empty value, the redirect code reads one byte past the end of the heap buffer holding the location. The value of that out-of-bounds byte decides which redirect target is built, so a malicious server controls whether the client is sent to the host root or to the current directory. |
| telnetd in GNU inetutils through 2.7 allows an out-of-bounds write in the LINEMODE SLC (Set Local Characters) suboption handler because add_slc does not check whether the buffer is full. |
| Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the JavaScript error stack-trace handling path on 64-bit builds. A remote attacker can supply JavaScript input that triggers an exception and reaches jslPrintTokenLineMarker(), which passes the address of a 4-byte int column variable to jsvGetLineAndCol() as a size_t pointer. jsvGetLineAndCol() performs an 8-byte write through the mismatched pointer, overwriting adjacent stack memory. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
of: fix out-of-bounds read in of_alias_scan() stem parser
The stem parser tests isdigit(*(end - 1)) before checking end > start
and so reads one byte before the property name when the name is empty
or all digits. Check the bound first. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme: validate FDP configuration descriptor sizes
Validate descriptor sizes while walking the FDP configurations log so
dsze == 0 or a descriptor past the log end cannot cause unbounded
iteration or reads past the buffer. |
| Lantronix SLC8000/SLC9000 before firmware v9.7.0.2, EMG8500/EMG7500 before firmware v9.7.0.1, and all firmware versions of SLB882/SLCx-03/SLCx-02 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code by exploiting an undocumented mfc eeprom read command that copies unbounded user input into a bounded stack buffer before passing it to a system() call. Attackers can authenticate as any user to the terminal or CLI interface and supply an oversized input to trigger the overflow, potentially achieving complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the affected device and impacting downstream serial-attached devices. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: validate packet_len before skb_put_data
btintel_pcie_submit_rx_work() reads packet_len from rfh_hdr without
checking if it exceeds the RX buffer size. An oversized packet_len
can lead to an out-of-bounds read in skb_put_data().
Validate packet_len to ensure it is non-zero and does not exceed
BTINTEL_PCIE_BUFFER_SIZE - sizeof(*rfh_hdr), logging an error when
invalid.
This issue was reported by Claude Mythos. It can be simulated either by
using customized firmware configured to return an invalid packet_len or
by modifying rfh_hdr->packet_len in the driver before calling
btintel_pcie_submit_rx_work(). |
| BusyBox dpkg read_package_field() steps past a NUL terminator on malformed .deb packages, causing an out-of-bounds heap read. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally. |
| Insertion of sensitive information into externally-accessible file or directory in Windows Storage allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Universal Disk Format File System Driver (UDFS) allows an authorized attacker to execute code locally. |
| Bridge is affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to disclose sensitive information. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| Bridge is affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: dsa: tag_brcm: legacy FCS: request needed tailroom
The legacy FCS tagger calculates the CRC over skb->len bytes starting at
skb->data. When a nonlinear skb reaches the tagger, this reads past the
linear head into unrelated slab memory.
The tagger appends an Ethernet FCS but does not declare that tailroom. As a
result, DSA leaves NETIF_F_SG and NETIF_F_FRAGLIST enabled on the user
port, and nonlinear skbs can reach the CRC calculation.
Declare the required tailroom. DSA will then clear those features and the
networking core will linearize skbs before the tagger runs.
A KASAN-enabled dsa_loop test using this tagger reports:

| A one-byte out-of-bounds heap read flaw was found in GIMP's uncompressed DDS image loader. When a user opens an uncompressed DDS image, the file-dds plug-in performs an unconditional one-byte look-ahead after processing the final pixel. This may cause the plug-in to crash if the byte immediately following the pixel buffer is inaccessible; no information disclosure or code execution has been demonstrated. |
| FluidSynth is a software synthesizer based on the SoundFont 2 specifications. From 2.2.4 until 2.5.6, configuring synth.midi-channels above 16 allows the MIDI player to index _fluid_player_t::channel_isplaying outside its fixed-size heap allocation while tracking active channels. The resulting out-of-bounds reads and writes invoke undefined behavior and may compromise confidentiality, integrity, or availability. No crafted MIDI file is required because the unsafe condition is created by the channel-count configuration itself. Keeping synth.midi-channels at its default value of 16 avoids the vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.6. |
